Testimonials From Creekside Residents

“Returning to Virginia after many years in Salisbury, MD, took a great deal of decision making on my part. Since I was a widow and my younger son had graduated from college, I was now on my own. My older son wanted me to live closer to his family, which was certainly appealing to me. However, I would be leaving many friends,my church and a life I had known for the last 25 years. After months of looking, I found Creekside and fell in love with my condo and the area immediately. I liked the feeling of a small contained community while being close to shopping. Since moving here I’ve found many friendly neighbors, all interested in helping others when the need arises. The active association is interested in keeping the common area well maintained and safe. Several times a year they plan social events with opportunities for get-togethers with neighbors. Sharing good food and fellowship along the banks of Creekside is something every one should plan to do.”

“My wife and I are retired airline folks from South Florida. She was a flight attendant and I was a captain. When our only daughter married and moved to Norfolk a few years ago, we were visiting her so often that we decided to buy a second home here. We are now caregivers for our young grandson and spend more time in Virginia than Florida. He loves playing with neighborhood children at the community playground and swimming pool and taking “nature walks” on the Creekside pathways. There are so many activities in the area for the young and the young at heart. We enjoy the social gatherings at our clubhouse and the homes of our wonderful neighbors. Virginians truly define ‘Southern Hospitality’ Creekside was an amazing find. It is safe, quiet and friendly. And the beautiful sunsets rival any I have seen worldwide.”

“Following retirement from East Tennessee State University, Cindy and I returned to metro-Norfolk after many years. Truthfully, we didn’t think we could “go home again” as normally too many things change and most folks are disappointed, but we tried. We rented an apartment in Virginia Beach and with the help of an old friend began a systematic search of condominiums throughout all of the local cities looking for our dream final residence. The moment we drove into Creekside in the winter of 2002/2003, we knew we found exactly what we were seeking. At the time Creekside had eight of the twenty one units and we were fortunate to purchase one directly on the water. What a find! Since moving in we watched buildings go up, became active and found so many new friends and activities that we absolutely didn’t have the disappointment of “coming home again”. We were home. Creekside has the feeling of living somewhat in the country with the abundance of wildlife, trees, and walking trails along the water, but we are easily within short driving distances of great restaurants, shopping, hospitals and Interstate roads. The very best part of living in Creekside is the friendliness of our neighbors. Contrary to most condominiums and homeowner associations, Creekside is seemingly abuzz with activities for folks of all ages. Monthly wine and cheese socials, community cookouts including oyster roasts, Easter Egg Hunts, celebration parties such as St. Patty’s Day, and impromptu cookouts with friends. We love Creekside and haven’t regretted the decision to move here for one minute.”

“I am celebrating my 6th wonderful year of living in Creekside this month. There are so many things here to rave about, but above all, this is a beautiful, well-maintained, caring community in which to live. There are amenities for every family and age group, including scenic paths on the creek to stroll, watch the sunset or walk your dog. The community pool and clubhouse are a great way to exercise, for kids to have fun, and to hold parties and to get together with your neighbors for a monthly wine tasting. There is up to date, safe playground  for the little ones within a stones throw of our Creekside entrance. I love the easy access to the Interstate, which makes commuting that much quicker.
One of the most comforting aspects of living here is that it is such a safe place to live. Creekside employs security guards to patrol our neighborhoods nightly, and as a single woman living alone, this ensures a good night’s sleep for me.
As Creekside consists of condominiums, we are indeed fortunate to have a great Board of Directors who are deeply interested in the highest standards of maintenance for our lawns, common areas and individual units. There are frequent community events, oyster roasts, volunteer opportunities and so much more. Creekside is a fantastic place to live, play enjoy life and make friends.”
